Our Vision

We are confident that there is hope for a renewed world. We are dedicated to helping each person make a difference; locally and globally. We introduce you to people, projects, training, and tools that will enable you to bring about meaningful change in your world. We will collaborate at a grass-roots level with any who are seeking to innovate for hope and together we will dream change, live change, and create change.

Dream Change

Focus: To help transform into reality your dreams for a better world.

Ecuador building teamCommitment: LCA supports people with ideas to bring about individual or community transformation and growth.  Do you have such an idea?  “Let’s talk!”  We can connect you to people and projects, training and tools that will help turn those dreams into reality.

Application: Many current LCA projects exist because passionate and caring people identified needs and took the necessary steps to address them. Here are two examples:

  • In 2009 Brian Stubbs partnered with LCA and the Sunnydale Community Centre to create Sunnydale Connect, a program connecting teens with caring young adults for mentoring and developing quality relationships to guide in life and educational choices.
  • Community development projects in an African-Ecuadorian village long neglected by the Ecuadorian government have enabled many to participate in global mission.  Teams travelled to the Onzole River Communities and worked together with the villagers to construct a woodworking workshop and community learning centre, and refurbish a school. These relationships and buildings provide on-going education and vocational training opportunities and are signs of hope for a better future for the people living along the Onzole River.

Live Change

Focus: To guide people for growth, understanding that relationships provide us with the courage to hope.

Commitment:  LCA helps people understand their unique worth and achieve their incredible potential.  Are you looking for an experience that will help you grow as a person? Could you use a guide? Would you like to provide another with the strength to hope? Let’s talk! We can help take you to the next level in your personal journey.

Application: The best coaching and growth occurs when people are “in the game”. Your participation in an LCA project a great way to achieve personal growth!

Create Change

Focus: To develop leaders and transformative programs, because real hope requires both a champion and a context.

Commitment:  LCA fosters programs and contexts that develop leaders and give people concrete hope through creating positive change

Application: Cedarbrae Running and Reading Club is an after-school program for that promotes healthy lifestyle and literacy. Each week volunteer coaches serve as caring role models, providing much needed encouragement and support to the children.  In the years since the program’s start at Cedarbrae Public school, youth who were once participants have become coaches, acting as inspiration and encouragement to new participants in this challenging program.

We place high value on partnerships and will join with individuals and organisations that share our vision, ethics, and goals. We are proud of our partnerships which include: Forge Canada, Start2Finish, House of Friendship, Cedarbrae Public School, Sunnydale Community Association, Ride for Refuge, St John’s Kitchen, Wilfrid Laurier University, Onzole River Team, and many other organisations, churches and individuals.
